In terms of number of foreclosures, Utah currently ranks fourth in the nation with 1 out of every 290 homes being taken back by the bank. Moreover, the number of foreclosures in Utah increased 74% in November from October.
Nevada ranked first in number of foreclosures for the 59th month in a row. Ironically, Nevada still ranks first even though the number of foreclosures were down 43 percent year-over-year in this state.
Other states on the list include, California, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, and South Carolina.
